Eligibility for Master of Education (M.Ed)

The eligibility criteria for the Master of Education (M.Ed.) program may vary from one university to another. According to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), candidates who have secured 50% or more in their Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree are eligible to pursue M.Ed. in regular mode. It is important that the B.Ed. degree is obtained from a UGC-recognized university and an NCTE-approved institution.

Additionally, reserved category candidates (SC/ST/disabled) are granted a relaxation of 2.5% to 5% in the qualifying degree marks.

Candidates who have completed a Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks can also apply for M.Ed. admission.
